Lymphatic Drainage Post Operative Care

Oncology Massage

During treatment, oncology massage can help address the side effects of radiation, surgery and chemotherapy, It is also helpful during recovery and beyond a support for optimal health.

 

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

This is normally focus work.

Neuromuscular therapy is a system of massage techniques that were developed in the 1930's by Dr. Stanley Lief in England. It uses a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself. Neuromuscular therapy also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins.

Craniosacral Therapy

Developed by John Upledger, Craniosacral Therapy uses a gentle but powerful touch to balance the entire body. Helps heal the body using mindful manipulation, gentle touch and rocking to achieve whole body balance and wellness.

 

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Massage is very beneficial for any soft tissue damage.

TMJ Dysfunction Treatment/Massage

60 minutes: $125

The occasional headache or pain in the neck may seem like a typical part of everyday. Then one day you notice a clicking sound when you chew or you can't seem to open your mouth as wide. These are the tell-tale signs of TMJ Dysfunction. 

The TMJ (tempormandibular joint) is what connects the mandible (lower jaw) to the skull, just under the ears. The muscle of this joint control chewing. Dysfunction or malalignment can affect the neck, shoulders, face and teeth.

According to one study, TMJD affects 20-405 of the adult population. This can be cause by structural issues(bone) or functional, from stress, teeth clenching poor posture or even sitting at a desk for too long.

Thankfully, studies have found, that massage therapy can be extremely helpful with managing TMJD in functional cases.

Massage helps everything! 

Cupping

Add to a custom massage. Cupping will be utilized along with Deep Tissue and Sports Massage. Cupping loosens  connective tissue or fascia and increases blood flow to the surface. Cupping also stimulates tissue relaxation while removing toxins and stagnation.

 

Gua Sha

Add to a custom massage. Gua Sha Is a modality that helps restore health to the body, especially chronic conditions. It also helps the body to release chronic pain and injury.Used along with deep tissue massage for best results. In sports related injuries the area around the affected area is "scraped" to increase flexibility, break down scar tissue and facilitate the healing process.

After a session strength training and flexibility work will allow the client to achieve a greater result.
